2026’s Top Five Nightmare Nuggets

Every year during Welcome Week, creative writing faculty host Nightmare Nuggets, a series of workshops that teach students how to write two-sentence horror stories and win prizes in the process. At the end of each workshop, students vote on the two-sentence horror story they think is best, and two volunteer student judges get to pick one as well.

These are the winners from this year’s workshops, with an extra pick by the team here at Glass to give you your top five Nightmare Nuggets of 2026!
