My name is Aamna Asif and I was recently re-elected as your Guild Secretary for 2023. I am currently studying Behavioural Science and Justice, majoring in Criminology and Policing. I decided to run for this position again as I am extremely passionate about advocating for students, and nothing excites me more than representing my peers!
As the secretary, I’ve come to understand the significant importance of my role. As the Student Guild continues to expand and grow, I strive to be the backbone that ensures the accomplishment of our goals. I’m excited to work towards achieving this goal by making sure that all our meetings and events are thoroughly organised to provide all students with the most memorable university experience possible. The Guild is the voice for all students at QUT. I hope to be the person who students can trust and are proud to be represented by. I am looking forward to using this opportunity to take the time to listen to students and facilitate changes that consider their needs.
