Don’t Stress It, Just Test It: Free RAPID STI Testing Comes to Garden’s Point

RAPID will be holding weekly check-ups on Wednesdays in 2020 semester one. They are back on campus providing a safe place to get tested for STIs, ready to help. This is brought to you by the QUT Guild and is free, dignified and queer-friendly.

Sexual health is incredibly important and something that Glass Magazine advocates for. Whether you’re healthy or worried you have something, STI testing should be a normal part of your health routine – just like going to your GP for a check-up. There’s a stigma around sexual health that needs breaking, especially within the community of university students. RAPID does not judge you for your sexual history; they just want to help.

“whatever your story, RAPID is a safe place to get tested for HIV and STIs without any judgement about your sexual behaviour or injecting practices. We make testing discreet, easy and free for everyone.” – RAPID

Head to the discreet testing rooms between 11am and 2pm on Wednesdays throughout the semester. Head to the Garden’s Point medical centre and ask reception for RAPID testing in the allotted times.

No appointment necessary, just drop by. Check out the Facebook event here for updates.
