Hello! My name is Elijah Haring, and I am a 2024 Vice President Treasurer candidate for the QUT Guild. I am a business student majoring in Behavioural Economics and Property Economics. I am currently completing the second year of my three-year degree. I believe in using my unique skills, knowledge, and beliefs to benefit others. That includes treating everyone with respect and dignity as well as showing love and compassion to all.
I understand that life at university is not always easy or perfect, especially with the cost-of-living crisis, which puts so much pressure on us all. As Treasurer and part of the QUT Guild leadership, I will strive to facilitate and create methods of improving our student guild to best match these pressures.
As an independent candidate, I will offer my unrestricted service in running the general financial services of the QUT Guild. The interests of students like yourself will be put at the forefront of my decision-making. This includes looking into new grants and sponsorships and overseeing the expenditure of the current budget to positively impact your life at university.
Voting for me means a step closer to a stronger, more student-invested union.
